- When was Destination Wealth Management founded?
I founded Destination Wealth Management in 1986. I started the firm by asking nurses at hospitals to invest $10 a month into their retirement account. We are now managing almost $5 billion of assets.
2. How many employees does DWM have?
70 employees that work at the firm. They are in five different departments which include:
- Advisors
- Research and Trading
- Professional Services team
- Service staff
- Operational team members
3. I have estate and tax planning questions. Can you help?
Absolutely. We have a new division called Professional Services, which provides estate and tax planning guidance to everyone that we work with. Just reach out to your Advisor here at the firm and we can get you connected with our great legal and accounting team. There's no cost for these discussions; it's a service we provide for you.
4. I know there's been a lot of new advisor professionals added to the Destination Wealth Management team; how might that impact me?
As we continue to grow and promote from within, we do, from time to time, make adjustments in relationships. Perhaps your current advisor has been promoted, or they might be teaming up with another person. There may be some adjustments in who you work with directly as an advisor here at DWM. If so, we will make sure to let you know personally and do a joint introduction.
5. Are you planning to grow DWM at a fast pace? I'm always concerned about companies that grow too fast; service tends to suffer.
We are not addicted to hyper growth. We manage our growth to make sure that we can deliver the services that we promise. We are not buying other firms. We are not merging. We are not selling. We are full speed ahead just as we are.
6. Why is charity such an important part of the company's culture?
It's pretty simple really. The world is filled with people that have not had a fair shot, and I want to be a company that gives others the opportunity to overcome whatever challenges they might face. If you're interested in our charity efforts, click on this link- www.kekokua.org.
7. Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! If you have a friend or relative that would like to chat with us, please send them our way. We are ready to help.
Any other questions you might have please let us know. We are happy to help.
